In sad news this week, David Beckham has retired from professional soccer. Now women across the world will only be able to see him with his shirt off every week in TV commercials, magazine ads, and tabloid covers. In more exciting news, the Powerball jackpot is now estimated at $600 million. The odds may be 1 in 175,223,510, but I am forever the optimist that those numbers I found in a fortune cookie will finally pay off! If that doesn't work out though, I am releasing a new 3-song Summertime EP around my new single and music video, "That's What I'm Here For." Wow! In a matter of only 2 weeks, my facebook page has blown up from 4,000 fans to over 18,000! Thank you to everyone who keeps sharing my page and my posts. It really makes a difference, and I appreciate you getting my music out there.
Meanwhile, back at the studio, the new album is coming along nicely, and I am very excited to have something new to share with you soon. In the mean time, I decided to shoot a new music video for the 1st single off the album. Will keep you posted on that. So in my spare time, I have been working with top scientists to discover that the Higgs Boson Particle does exist! (by working with, I mean reading articles about them) Not only that, but it turns out the Universe has been lying about her age by 80 million years or so (she doesn't look a day over 13 billion!).
As for my music career though, I'll be playing at the 1st Annual Texas Best Music Fest in Houston, TX this Sunday, April 7th. This festival will feature music ranging from Country Legends like Johnny Lee (Lookin' For Love), to R&B/Soul Legends like Archie Bell (Do The Tighten Up). I have been a little absent from the online scene lately but all for good reason. I am very close to finishing up my Sophomore album for release later this year! I once again teamed up with my producer, Todd Hannigan, who just won a grammy for Mumford & Sons "Big Easy Express." I am also quite fortunate to have four tracks produced by Multi-Grammy Award-Winning Producer, Peter Wade, who has worked with artists like Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Natasha Bedingfield, and MNDR. I can't give much more information since it's all very top-secret hush-hush (well not really, but I just don't have anything else to post about it yet). Wow, December was so busy that I'm just now catching my breath. Stevie Tombstone and I had an amazing tour from San Francisco to San Diego. We played everywhere from bustling bars like Thee Parkside to classic music venues like Hotel Cafe and the Viper Room. Thank you to everyone who came out in support. I also headed back to Houston to perform on New Year's Eve to raise money for my family's charity, Champions Kids Camp, and we had one of our most successful events.
Now as for 2013, I was asked to do a guest blog for Naked Magazine on New Year's Resolutions...I agreed to do it, but I was fully clothed the whole time. Check it out here.
Finally, for anyone who has never had the amazing (although swervy and dangerous) experience of driving up the Pacific Coast Hwy, here is a look at a rare sunrise and my favorite picture from the tour.

Heading out on tour today to San Francisco. I'll be playing there on Saturday at Thee Parkside. I had some great fun this past month playing at the Republic of Pie, and The Sunday Party in Santa Monica, trying out some new songs before I head out on the road this December with Stevie Tombstone. Ok, maybe not galore, but they are 2 really good interviews! Right after the debut of my new video for "Before You Go," I had a wonderful interview with Andrew Liscio from Buzznet. He asked some engaging questions I haven't been asked before, so if you want to find out my guilty pleasure, you can read all about it here. Also, for all you vinyl lovers, I sat down with my record player and wrote up an article for the Vinyl District's First Date feature. I share childhood memories of watching vinyl melt and then discovering its other purpose, playing music.
I'll also be playing tomorrow night, October 10th at 9, at the Republic of Pie in North Hollywood. Come out and hear some music and have a slice. For now though, in case you missed it on Artist Direct, here's my music video for "Before You Go."

September 1, 2012 - Interviews, Reviews, Downloads & More!
It seems like just yesterday it was August, and now we're already hurling towards fall at an incredible rate. August was a very exciting month for me though. I sat down for an interview with with Vents Magazine where you can read all about my plans for creating Cold Fusion. I was also featured on the Music Under Fire Weekly Downloads page where they said my song "More Than Crazy" was the next best thing to Jason Mraz. I've also been very busy writing new songs, and producing a new artist in Nashville to be released next year on Cloverdale Music. All that plus shooting a new music video and working on some December tour dates to be announced soon.
